Yup...It WILL Turn-Over!
.
Ran across this interesting, yet insane rig while looking for something else. Looks like a V8-60 to me, and the rear wheel and brake cable suggests '37 or '38-ish. At about 5:05 in the video, the driver likely takes a dump in his 'proper' suit pants! Everyone needs one of these. Click the link! DD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qX6U4wUWuDk |

The "Dohicky" on the outside of the big rear wheel looks like a centrifugal clutch to me (kinda like the kind we have on snowmobiles up here). Did you notice that it turns backwards when it is in reverse!

It has a 36 n later wide five rear wheel.
I’m thinking the doohickey is a brake. Did you notice right near the end as it tips over they stop filming for a while? |

I was thinking they needed one of those suicide knobs on the steering wheel. Then he tipped it over, I changed my mind.

Re: Yup...It WILL Turn-Over!
"Contraption" according to Webster, describes this machine pretty well.
A machine or device that appears strange or unnecessarily complicated, and often badly made or unsafe... .

In the beginning he is driving it inside the engineering building which later became the museum.

Re: Yup...It WILL Turn-Over!
It's an interesting video. Guess someone had an idea to make it better. Guess why we don't see to many today. I would not mind one as a novel display. Needs a pto somewhere to be a farm vehicle. Something to run a corn auger anyways.

Not that many figure 8 shaped fields that need to be worked. I see near the end why he drives it only in 1 direction of figure 8.

Anyone recognize the buildings in the back of the outdoor scenes? Somewhere in the Dearborn area?
