Fuel Pump and ethanol
I have a replacement fuel pump that was purchased about 2 years ago from one of the old Ford suppliers ( don't recall which one). The pump has started leaking around the diaphragm, an active leak, so I'll be fixing it for sure.
Does anyone have experience with this and is it perhaps caused by the ethanol. This pump has only about 5-600 miles on it so it's a quick failure. Yes I have tightened the screws before installation. Thanks, John

Re: Fuel Pump and ethanol
Most likely if the pump is an older/old stock pump, the gaskets/diaphragm are not compatible with ethanol fuel.

Re: Fuel Pump and ethanol
Send it to CharlieNY have him rebuild it. Uses rubber that’s bullet proof.
