Default Need 1949 merc passenger door

I need a solid passenger door for my 1949 mercury coupe. I'm wondering if I can use a 1950 coupe door which I already have. I know the locks and jambs are different but will this work with door popper locks? Thought I'd ask for advice before I go through the process of swapping the doors. Thanks for your time. Lefty

The doors are virtually the same except as you say for the door latch and door handle. Will probably need a little finessing.
Don't know what door popper locks are but know what door poppers are.

The 49 used the rotating claw or pawl to latch them and the structure where the latch components are installed is different. If you are refering to solenoid operated door latches then modifications will have to be made anyway. A more modern latch like the bear claws could also be adapted. There are a few Merc modifiers on the HAMB that could likely steer you better than I can.
