Default need help with clutch

I need help making a 39 trans. Connect to an 8BA 9.5" clutch..It seams the coller for the through bearing on the 1 3/8 " shaft interferes with fingers on the pressure plate, and the through bearing does not contact the clutch.I read on the H.A.M.B that the only fix was
a 10 or 11" clutch. Kerry at FW clutch says they have sold many of these 9.5" / 1 3/8"
Clutch kits for the 8BA conversion so something must work. All advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Someone I know had an 8BA 10.5 rebuilt with shorter early Ford type fingers...that's possibly what Fort Wayne is talking about...?
Existing 8BA stuff:
9.5 You know about that...
10" 8BA This was light duty F1, 8BA heavy duty...can use '46-8 Ford pressure plate to use that flyweel with '39 trans. Not very common.
11" F series...very common, goes right into early Ford, but stiff and heavy
'49-53 Merc flywheel using '49-50 Merc pressure plate...another bolt-in but that pressure plate is getting hard to find. There is apparently a modern replacement...?
I'd find out about FW, and investigate cost of having whatever wheel you have redrilled for 10"
