1937 runningboard repair
I bought a pair of running boards for my car. They were powder coated, and now I need to fill in the areas were the brackets are attached. Can I sand the area and use body filler to fill in ? And then glue my rubber on. Any ideas. Thanks Bruce

I don't see why not. You might sand the whole top just to make a good bond.

Re: 1937 runningboard repair
Take those areas down to bare metal. The filler will stick much better. Also test the powder coat area with some glue and a small sample piece of rubber to see how well it sticks. Some things don't stick to well on powder coat.
