I don't think it's possible to disregard something that isn't there.

Joe K
I was thinking the same thing. It's one of those "catch 22" things.

This was a post asking about interior mirrors, but a friend came up with the answer already, so I tried to delete the post (it had no responses and only 1 view).

Mirrors? I was shocked when I drove my Sport Coupe for the first time. That single tiny mirror was woefully inadequate! It made me wonder if that was the "norm" for 1929. I guess motorists did not think about looking behind them. After all, why would you want to look backwards? Was there even such a thing as defensive driving?

Heck with your mirrors - we're having fun on a late Monday night!

I'm glad you got your answer though. You should drive the 28-29 CC truck. NO interior mirror.

Fortunately the exterior mirror is pretty well placed - on the drivers side.

Now about that disregard. Just because you started all this doesn't mean you can REGARD. Get with the program!

Kidding - of course. It's late and I'm silly.

This thread has a 5 star rating. What's up with that?

Yea. It says that there are two "5 star" votes in fact. I never got the whole star rating thing here anyway.

I'll put this to bed once and for all (and make it Model A related so Mike in NJ doesn't have a cow). I had asked what type of mirror belongs in a 31 Tudor. The one with the rounded edges (not talking about the corners) all around or the one with the beveled edges. Turns out, the one with the rounded edges was the answer, so I ordered a repro that looks pretty close.

The car's original mirror had the rounded edging, but wasn't sure if that was correct or not. It sure looks like an original mirror, including loss of silvering, old glass, etc. Was just getting bad enough that it could be considered a driving hazard, so decided to replace it with a mirror that actually functions as a mirror.

save the original glass!
there are usually some subtle differences in glass thickness or shape.
somebody will want it (not me).
the old ones can be re-silvered but it's too pricey for anything but a fine point car...

I'm not familure with the 31 Tudor, but just assumed all the mirrors had a beveled edge.
One more thing to check on now!

A well qualified MAFCA judge gave me the answer already, so we're good.

I will hold on to the original mirror for sure. Sooner or later, someone who has helped me in one of the local clubs with an original car will need one and they can have it.
