Default Gutter ?s on 31 slant window

Are the gutters 1 or 2 pieces? i expected to find two pieces, but so far i just see one. Due to rust I need to remove the rain gutters. A previous owner attempted to weld the gutters to the roof (gutters are steel not aluminum) so that is adding to the problem. Anyone have experience with this?

They are 1 piece steel gutters welded to the top. If those gutters are still in good shape, be careful with them and re-use/restore them if you can.

I don't know if they are worth saving. This is what both look like from rear doors back. The fronts have some issues, but the backs are pretty rusted. Opinions?

Since no one make a reproduction part to my knowledge, it in your best interest to save those gutters.

Often with reproduction parts you spend more time making them fit then it takes to repair an original part.

You will spend far less time restoring those on the car than by removing them & trying to restore or replace them.Like the saying goes- KISS!

you will never get the rust out from behind the gutters without removing them...... they are spot welded on you can drill out the spot welds and remove them and try to save what you have. if it was me I would look for a set of originals that are good on a junk body, they are out there. when you remove yours only drill on the gutter side. if you find a section of a top with good gutters only drill them from the back side. I have had to do this a couple times it is a lot of work, but you will end up with a better job when finished.

Ok guys, you talked me into giving it a try. The old ones definitely have to come off in order to get to the rust and do a couple of repairs on the car itself.

It would be great to find a good set of originals to use. If any of you run across a set please let me know.

Thanks.
