36 Roadster $192,000
Does anybody know why the 1936 Ford Roadster sold by the Milhouse collection over the weekend is worth $192,500?

Re: 36 Roadster $192,000
I might have guessed it was a typo as the lot above it has exactly the same price, but further down the page is a custom '51 Merc for $423,500 so maybe there were just a lot of guys there with lots of spare cash!

Not a typo. The same car sold for 143000 in 2006. Dingman collection.

Re: 36 Roadster $192,000
A 1933 Chrysler CL Phaeton for $1.2 million is off the charts!!! At the 2011 Pebble Beach RM Auction a similar 100 point Concourse 1933 CL Phaeton sold for $500,000.00. Maybe the guy publishing the list hit the "add" button twice.

A little of all the above is true. These auctions for "collectors", "investors", "aficionatos", not us old Ford slobs, Lol.

Re: 36 Roadster $192,000
Interesting.... I just watched a show about the Milhouse collection on HD TV. I'm sure that helped in driving up the prices. Did they sell that player piano with the 3 violins?

That car is more beautiful than the day it left Henry's factory, or the showroom floor for that matter. Unbelievable....

Re: 36 Roadster $192,000
Not sure on brand X tractors but on John Deeres I can think of MANY that brought well into six figures . A fellow in WI paid $325,000.00 for a 1936 John Deere BW40 . Many in the $175,000 range also . There are SERIOUS collectors of John Deeres out there .

Re: 36 Roadster $192,000
I have a genuine left hand thread quabble plate bearing for an early Ford powered onion roaster I will let go for only $125k. I will throw in a couple of restored pickups and a streetrod to haul it around in.
