Default Brewster green?

Are these examples of Brewster green light and dark?
If you have pics of these colors I would like to see them. Thanks.

the dark one is Brewster Dark, and is a well known car.. I don't know about the light one, but it looks about like what I have seen called Brewster light.

FYI, Brewster green was first introduced on 1929 Town Car. In October 1930 it was reintroduced as M-741B "Brewster Green" for use on deluxe models only. That was the ONLY version available for Model A's. In 1932 Ford introduced a color combination of "Brewster green medium" with "Brewster green light". I don't have the "M" numbers for 1932 so I can't say whether either version was M-741B making it the same as our Model A version.

I have a good representation of Brewster green on a Roadster (link below) if you choose it from the drop-down list. With each computer display your results may vary!

Brewster Green is one of my favorite colors. That coupe posted above by aerocraft looks to be correct. I did a lot of searching for the correct looking color last year to paint my Tudor that color. I ended up seeing the color Lombard blue for the first time and got hooked on that.

Ppg color is a great match to some of the originals I have seen. Good luck in your quest!

I have a 1930 Murray Fordor town sedan that I am trying to choose a paint color for. It was originally maroon, but I am looking at other colors for this model. The paint and refinishing guide list Brewster green as one of the colors available on town sedans that year. Is this not correct?

If you are talking about the Mafca paint book you will see a footnote indicating it was available beginning October 1930. With that said, it doesn't mean you can't fudge on the date issue as most folks wouldn't know the difference anyway.

In the original post it looks like the slant 31 is Kewanee Green. My .02 cents worth.

If you are looking to paint your car as close to factory colors as known, get the Mafca paint book. There are paint chips in the book for every color combination.

The PPG Color Library numbers for Brewster green are: Med. #1017 (44328) & Lt. #1247 (43845).

Marco,

That is a wonderful tool! Do you have a 30 Standard Phaeton "Choose your Color" version? We're trying to settle on a color for the current project.

Unfortunately no. That little project took far more hours than I ever suspected or I never would have done it!
