28 closed cab
Does any one make a steel sun visor (A-817) for the pickup.
I have the stock fabric covered fitted but would like to fit a steel one, my pickup has a lot of wind noise around the visor. I,m thinking this may fix it. Lawrie |

Repro passenger visor is available - dunno if it would fit or could be modified to do so. Or maybe a sheet metal cover for your frame could be fabricated. https://www.mikes-afordable.com/product/A317A.html |

Re: 28 closed cab
The later 1930/31 visors have a shape that is more complex that the 1928/29 Coupes & Tudors. The truck type is longer front to rear and of course is more of a framework that the coupe & tudor types. Both were covered with top material and the material always reflected what was used on the roof. The headers over the windshield are different between trucks and cars so that could require modifications as well.
I'm not sure if there were differences in materials with the model As shipped to the South Pacific commonwealth countries. Canada and the assembly branch plants down that way did a lot of things differently than in the US production in order to control costs of shipping and production better. |
