So today I have to leave work early to hide the parts that the fedex guy is bringing for my 1927 Model T. In my defense she said I couldn’t be gone another project right now. She didn’t actually say that I couldn’t order parts for the next project! |

hmmm...very timely - for some reason I couldn't get to sleep last night and starting thinking about those shirts, and looked up where to buy them.
I'm assuming "great minds must think alike" |

That’s not coincidence…. That’s the good Lord himself telling you that you’d look good in one of those shirts! 😁

To each his own, neat shirts. If someone wants to wear one, ok, if not, ok too.
This does sort of reminds me of my working days when some people wore a Hawaiian shirt to work every Friday. I didn't participate in their ritual. Then one day they started chastising me for being a non-conformist. I won't say any more regarding what my response to them was. |

I believe they are made by David Carey (licensed from Ford); also sold on Amazon by David Carey for a few bucks less than his own website - I've also seen them (pre-owned) on ebay on occasion for around $35-$40. |

The Model A shirts are also sold at Don Laughlin's Classic Car Museum store in Laughlin, Nevada in case anyone is planning to visit the casinos there.

Re: Are you really a Model A guy?
I don’t sell the shirts. They are sold on various sites throughout the web. I was just trying to be funny about having Model A apparel to go along with our passion for the beautiful automobiles that we love! I’m too old now to care about what people think about me or what I wear. I’ve grown far past the fashionable trendy stuff. Now, if it’s comfortable and cheap that’s what you’ll find me wearing.
My old Model A pickup is the same way. I love the old stuff. Im not a purist though. If adding some upgrades helps keep me and my family safe and helps us from being stranded on the side of the road Im all for it. But to judge another man for a vehicle I didn’t work on, pay for or have any history with in any way shape or fashion would just be silly! Like a man has already commented, to each their own. Henry built enough of them to go around! |

Re: Are you really a Model A guy?
GoodCar,
After we got married my wife threw out all my Hawaiian shirts. I had some old classic silk ones. They went to Goodwill, I think. Now they are hard to find, especially in North Carolina. But I think I have gone beyond that phase.

I would probably get a grease stain on it while working on my Model A.

Re: Are you really a Model A guy?
The only shirts I wear are long sleeve western shirts (with snaps). I couldn't find any "Model A" shirts in that style, so My wife found some "Model A" fabric and made a quilt for our bed. (She makes quilts, not clothes).
On another note, she just finished a quilt for a friend's wife made out of his Tommy Bahama shirts after he passed.
