Default Cleaning the hydrostatic fuel gage

What's the recommended chemical to clean the gage tube, connecting tube and hex tube?

I use metal prep (diluted phosphoric acid). Patience is also a key ingredient when it comes to the tiny connecting tubing.

Thanks David. I have a new tube I could use but not quite ready to go thru all that. I have successfully redone my 32 and 29 Packard but this one seems really stubborn.
