Rebuilt engine supplier?
Hello everyone! I have a 1930 Ford model a that is due for a new motor. I want to keep the four banger but with some increased power. I will be putting on a high. Compression head, along with FSI dizzy and maybe a cam. My question is, are there any suppliers that go supply a rebuilt short block? I am in the Metro Detroit area, and would be open to taking it in to be rebuilt as well.

Re: Rebuilt engine supplier?
Had two rebuilt by AER. Well satisfied. AER has new owners now. Rich Falluca (probably spelled that last name wrong was the original owner that did mine. Have heard he took the new owner by the hand so should get the same results after rebuilding.

Re: Rebuilt engine supplier?
Sparta, I just finished putting together my Burtz engine. It was easy to assemble and everything fit. Good quality and good instructions on the website. The only hard part was cleaning the block and camshaft and deburring. I used a lot of the parts off the old engine but bought new pistons, rings, valves and associated parts. I bought Terry's camshaft which is also good quality. This engine is simple enough to assemble yourself if you have any experience with engines. It will certainly last your lifetime and your grandkids lifetime and it will take some custom parts for more horsepower, like a 6.0 head and Weber carburetor.

Re: Rebuilt engine supplier?
NKAMINR, is that a harmonic balancer on it? So what about the crank? Counterweighted, and pressurized Scat with insert bearings? Tell us more, and about how much you have in it. Guess I'm wondering how the value compares to rebuilding what we have. I had to put one together before the Burtz was ready. I am guessing if I ever need another one I'll be inclined to get a Burtz.
