Re: Headliner
1939 trucks have metal door panels. 38's are cardboard or the like from what I've been told.

Re: Headliner
I had one of the Fiberglass pebble grain headliner kits in my 1941 1/2 ton pickup, it was not a resto car but the pebble grain was black and could be painted any color to match the interior I purchase it from MACS and I believe it included pieces around the rear window and along the sides and strip below the window that extended slightly below the rear seat cushion. Not sure they off that anymore as this was in the late 80's I will check to see if I have any interior shots of it installed

Re: Headliner
'39's definitely came with a headliner. 'full' cardboard interior in fact. As far as repros go, I am happy with mine, and they are available in other colors besides the stock green. Take a look at my recent post if you have not come across it yet.

I installed mine all by my lonesome. I would suggest having a helper. It would make the job easier and probably insure a better fit. I don't really like the shiny look of the ABS plastic. I would suggest painting it a flat or semi gloss black for a more authentic look. I did not think of that up front, so I am living with the high gloss, which is acceptable.
