Default Circlite Windshield Spot Light

I have recently seen a 1930 coupe with a spot light mounted through the windshield. It was called a Circlite and had a pistol grip handle that would allow you to tilt and swivel the light head. I believe the car was last registered in Massachussets and before that it was registered in New York. Any info on this light and car would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard of the climer light that cut a hole in the glass and mounted through the glass. There was a special tool to cut the glass as well. Here is an article about it.

Here is the glass cutting tool....

Here is a fyrac light

I have a Clymer light that looks EXACTLY like that Fyrac light.I only know it is a Clymer from the Clymer decal still on it.That tool for cutting the hole is neat, buy everything was plate glass back then, probably won't do much good on the safety glass of today.

Hello I recall my great uncle Lynn said he had a light like that on his 1924 Star but that was before my time.

And once you drill a 3/4" hole thru the safety glass you have a problem. I saw 2 geniuses do the same thing to va patrol car windshield and it shattered the same week.
