I did, and so far not a spot on them!
I am going to apply second coat in about 6 hours (can says 2-4 hours)

Then tomorrow flip it over and two coats on the other side.

Nasty stuff, I used it on the rear area behind the axle on my F-150 on the rusty frame because of the liquid they spray on the roads in the winter. I did it 2 years ago and it has all fallen off. I should have sprayed the frame with Salt-away beforehand. I got some in my mustache of all places and had to shave it off! It seems like nothing removes it.

It's like anything else; applied according to the instructions with proper care, it works fine. I did the underside of my '51 club coupe in 1988, and it still looks good. I hear what your saying about exposure to sunlight, but it was never meant to be exposed to ultraviolet light. Also, they have companion products that allow overcoating with regular paint. Just don't spill it on anything you don't want it on. Scott, the panel you did looks real good.

POR-15 is a moisture cured ureathane.
I use KBS - same stuff, but cheaper.
They do have tie-coat products, so you can overcoat it for UV protection.
I have done a couple of frames, but then my cars don't sit out in the sun.

I used por15 on the small frame parts. It levels nicely on parts that have some pitting. After cured a few days I roughed the parts with a scotchbright and top coated with rustoleum. Parts were very durable and attractive.

I don't think the UV exposure will be a problem, this panel is the floor under the seat base. I got the second coat done, and I was able to do two full coats on the seat base. Tomorrow afternoon I should be able to mount them in the cab.

I've had good luck with it for suspension parts mostly. It self levels well and does not look like it was applied with a brush. I also put it on a brake master cylinder but brake fluid bleed underneath and it winkled and came off.

Second coats are supposed to be applied when the first is just tacky to the touch, normally about 2 hours but less if humid.

Yep, the can says 2-6 hours, but it also says it dries faster in humid conditions. It was pretty dry here yesterday and at 4 hours it was still too tacky to brush over. 5 hrs seemed ideal.

Good, I didn't know if you were aware of the "tacky" requirement.

If you let it cure fully they say to scuff it with 320 and then you can do another coat.
The seat base turned out nice

It is a pretty basic bench seat that any upholstery shop should be able to do with no problem.
I supplied new seat springs, they supplied fabric and labor. $800 total, custom made.
The vinyl is marine-grade for durability.
I was considering hot rod upholstery, where you can order pre-made covers and do it yourself. I've reupholstered in the past, but with the cost of the kit I didn't think it was that much more $$ to just have the shop stitch it and install it.

I painted this block about 10 years ago with POR-15 and it still looks great. Granted this is not an every day driver. No issue with heat at all.

Back in '02 or'03 I was painting the floor of my '38LZ conv . coupe and used clear POR
with no more than 10 percent of the maroon enamel (Alky)added. This was the same
color and type of paint I painted the underside of the car. It turned out great! High gloss
and durable.

Glad to hear about the POR-15 in use. I've always seen the vendors selling it but wanted opinions on real-life use. I'm not sure it's for me.
