Default 39 Ford Deluxe hood??

Are the left and right corners adjustable as far raising or lowering along the firewall? Mine on the passenger sides is higher than the drivers side.

Yes, it can be adjusted for height and fit in the corners. I did this to mine. I used a hood off a donor car and discovered like many have that a body part from the same make and model of one car does not mean it will fit your car.

This is done with the hinge position. On occasion, it may be necessary to enlarge the holes in the body thereby allowing more room to move the hinge.
Just a bit of advice here: When you move the hinge down, the hood will raise. I know it sounds to be counter-intuitive, but that's the reality of it.

In the 2009 May/June issue of the V-8 Times there was an article on adjusting 1941/1948 hoods. It has photos. I am not sure if this would relate to a '39 but it might shed some light on the job.

Joe, the hoods and associated parts are different just enough that the article is not a ton of help for 39 - 40.
Still, it would be helpful for anyone looking at adjusting any hood as there are some good basic pieces of advice within.

Thanks, Kube. I sorta thought that. I suggested it for a general idea as you have confirmed. Every little bit helps with the creatures.

I while back Kube posted a method of aligning a 1940 hood and fenders. VERY GOOD ADVISE. Search for it and review it.
