Autometer #2356 . It’s a 1.5 inch gauge.

This is key as the model A is very tall .
Also if you buy used check the dates and ply ratings on the tires . Also pull the wheels , check the brakes and repack the wheel bearings when you get it...

Once cured it is impervious to gasoline , so says the manufacturer of JB weld.
I have used it previously for repairs similar to this and have never had a problem after years in service.

Marvel Carb Modification Gone Bad

I inherited a Marvel carb that two of my friends had tried to get functioning properly.
Ran it through my ultrasonic cleaner , replaced the worn throttle shaft and put it back together with parts...

I know for the flathead V8 the recommended minimum cylinder wall thickness is .100.
And of course you have to look for core shift so you would need to check all points of the bore with your sonic...

I am familiar with condenser issues and own several older Fords.
I have had very good luck with the NAPA Echlin points and condensers . I use them in my 56 (57 distributor) 57,62 and 66 Ford cars...

Agreed but the sun was shining and the weather was excellent in general .

The pinstripe is a roll of orange vinyl pinstripe designed as a replacement for a painted on pinstripe.
I agree that if the car was used everyday in weather extremes that it probably wouldn't last...

Yes all inside stickers removed as you had advised earlier.
Mounting was not bad , just used lots of powder on the tubes and took my time .
Balancing took a lot of time and weight but it paid off ,...

The bare wheels taken to a professional stripper (no not that kind of a stripper )
where they were baked in a high temp oven, lightly blasted and then powder coated. The oven does 90% of the work...

I mounted and balanced them yesterday on freshly powder coated rims and went for a ride today.
The car ride and handling is improved and there is less...

Nice thing about the overdrive is the ability to "split gears".
I would imagine that 2nd gear in overdrive is a very useful ratio .

Hey Neil , My car came to me with a 9007 halogen headlight bulb conversion.
I found that LED replacements were readily available on amazon.
I have had problems with halogen bulbs eating up...

I had a pair of 97's on a hot rodded A motor and got the best results using adjustable main jets . Once dialed in the carbs performed great.
Available on Speedway Motors.
