Spark Advance and Throttle Levers become "sticky"?
 

Saturday these two levers moved as they always have, Sunday they feel as of they've both been dipped in Elmer's Glue.

I see no binding at the distributor lever, no injury to any of the exposed connections, and the foot accelerator moves smoothly.

The car performs as it always has.

There is a real "heaviness" when pushing the levers up to the top of their arc. I'm guessing something in the steering shaft needs lubrication, or a piece has shifted, causing friction.

I would put some penetrating oil on the top of the rods and let that soak all the way down to the bottom. Sometimes things just get in a bind and need a little help.

I lube them as Logan said and they have gotten much better than when I bought the car. The old potmetal bushing swell over the years, but I can't imagine feeling a change over a day or two.

similar thing happened to a buddy.. the column casing cracked allowing the upper part of the column case to rotate while the lower stayed put.. the levers bound up from the misalignment.. I know it's an extreme, but describes a worst case issue that was discovered in rebuilding his column..
