I just picked this up today at my new foundry. It looks better in person than in the pictures.

I have about a half dozen to make right off the bat. Probably going to be $600 the first run.

What's the theory behind the combustion chamber design? Looks like a very nice casting.

From what I see it might be a copy of the Model a high compression head for those running a B water pump.

There is a V8 head that similar. I was wondering why the spark plug was recessed.

Unlike V8 cylinder heads, where the spark plugs opening were recessed on the outside, the four-cylinder spark plugs were not recessed in the heads. Perhaps they are trying to maintain the original exterior appearance or minimize the degree of modification to the original design.

Nice looking casting. It should be relatively easy to machine with surfaces that nice.

I wonder too. At first glance, it would seem that a lot of extra spark advance would be needed, and that is not always a good thing.
