Model A Paint
Guys,
In Europe it is impossible to import cellulose paint from America; therefore I asked PPG (formar Ditzler owner) to give me the formulas for 2K paint instead (because I hate waterborne paint). What the heck !!!!! PPG did it ... they reconverted the waterpaint formulas to 2K. I am ever so gratefull to them ! For anybody being interested, I now have available 2K Andalusite Blue, Duchess Blue, and French Gray fromulas. Henk |

Re: Model A Paint
Funny: A while back when I was in Greece visiting in-laws, I used some Hammerite metal paint that I liked very much. Back home, I could not find it available for sale, and I mentioned this to my mother-in-law. The next time she visited us, she brought a can in her luggage. I'm sure that broke a bunch of aviation regulations...

Re: Model A Paint
Doug,
Like your story about Hammerite (thought it was American). Painting the Tudor will take gallons of paint however; will need two suitcases to ship it, let alone the risk of losing some 600 dollars worth of paint. Have any better suggestions ? Anyone working for a company that ships fluids to Europe ?? Henk |
