Default Results from Decatur TX, 2014.

Just got back from my 12 mile walk around the fairgrounds in Decatur. Was a beautiful day to be outside, posted some pictures on my website of the plunder. I managed to stay under my budget, the Model A stuff is drying up.

Had two questions for the online crowd...

1. Anybody been to B&E Olden Auto Parts in Weatherford TX and is it worth a 400 mile drive?

2. Is Steve McElroy still making Model A watercolor art and if so where can I get them?

"Hit" B&E when it was another name, we are talking '60s. Joe York and I found a truckload on three occasions. Your 400 miler would be very questionable for good results. Jim Langley...

I've been there. Neat place to walk thru but its no Bert's. I made the trip but was only maybe 50 miles. Wouldn't say it was worth 400 miles.

Hi Fred:
Enjoyed meeting you at Decatur. Make plans to attend the Pate Swap Meet just 20 miles north of downtown Ft. Worth April 24-27 at the Texas Motor Speedway. I have attended it almost every year since 1973 - it will be well worth your while. This is their 40th year and it is the largest swap meet in the Midwest and the 3rd largest in the U.S. with over 7,000 vendors. Here's a link for more info:

Thanks Fred, If I'm still in OK on that date I will check out Pate for sure, I'll add a link to it on my site. It was a pleasure talking you and I absolutely love the cover art.

I don't think I'll make it down to check out B&E Olden Auto parts on this trip. 400 miles is just too far.

Fred
