Default Model a engine rebuilder, florida

Several years ago I bought a rebuild from a fellow in Vero Beach. I can't recall his name. Is he still rebuilding and if not, who is the new "go to" guy in Florida?

Call Fhane at Stuart Model A Parts and Service. 772-341-8291. He can put you in touch with the guy. I don't know his name but Fhane has his engines done there and has for years.

Yep, cracked block beyond repair. Decided to buy one of his rebuilt engines outright, as soon as it's done.
Doug is a great guy that does great work. He is not internet savvy so probably gets less work than if he was in the forefront. That doesn't seem to bother him. Might be a few weeks, but i will have the confidence that my friend/customer will have a solid engine.

He is building two engines. One for me and another.. Is that other one for you? We pick ours up Thursday. He runs them in before releasing them. I have had several visits with him lately. A very knowledgeable perfectionist. He has been rebuilding A engines for over 40 years. Says he is going to retire. That will be a big loss to the hobby.

He called Thursday and said he is cleaning my block and will start as soon as he gets the one he is working on done. Told me he is retiring as well.
