Default 1939 Deluxe Conv w/40 Std Grille

Hi Just looking at the bay item number 275014851535 39 conv that someone has installed a 40 std grille and used the 39 hood and latch. I also see the car has the body tag on the firewall. Looks like a pretty solid car with some mods including shaving the trunklid. Also has a Southwind heater.

Looks like an honest car to me. Lots of pictures to prove it also!

Too bad it needs a total restoration. Can't help but wonder what it will coat to restore that car considering today's market.
There's a fully restored beautiful 1939 Ford Convertible on the same Ebay page for $56999.00 that would be a better buy. Better to "buy one done".

Wonder what is the purpose of the long coil spring underneath the front transverse spring?

It's a "helper" spring to try to correct a tired, sagging leaf spring.

I'd love to have that fixer upper sitting on my driveway.

I saw this car and yes, I agree it appears to be a decent old car.
However, judging by recent sales of this model, I would bet heavily this one will realize beyond what they are typically selling for.
Ebay is often "goofy" that way.
