I don't know about 6 hot dogs, but I could get a haircut, go to a matinee, and buy a coke for 10¢ each.
(The matinee would be free if I snuck in by the fire escape door, the coke would only have been a nickel at the grocery store, and my father would have cut my hair for free if my mother let him do that to me again!)
