Default Sending unit rebuild

Does anyone rebuild or repair the King Seely fuel sending unit? I have 2 that don't work (just bought one that was supposed to work properly and doesn't). I've done all the tests and the issue is the sending unit. I also have some gauges to repair. Not interested in trying to make the repops work.

You might pop the cap off the sending unit and check the condition of the bi-metallic strip, the little set of points, plus the internal wiring & calibration coil. If the strip or points are damaged, you may have to keep looking for a better part. Sometimes the little points just need to be cleaned but you have to be careful with them. They are very small and delicate. It's a wonder that they last as well as they do. There are many of them out there that still function normally after so many years. King Seeley made a good product.

I'm told that Baxter repairs them. Anyone have experience with his rebuild? I also have one that need repair. Ken
