The Ford Barn

I finally realized what it is like driving a Model A Ford. One with a nice smooth running engine, one with tight steering and with proper good brakes, one with good shocks and springs.

I have Larry's Fordor (Bart) here while he has Sarah. I just returned from taking Bart for a spin down the road a few miles, quiet morning, no traffic, the same road I have taken Sarah for a spin and the experience was an eye opener. I'm really looking FWD to Sarah's return now even more knowing she'll return with improvements that she needed.

I was truly amazed also how fast they could go also, was up to 65 going and 85 coming back....who needs a overdrive?????

I also was surprise the amount of light and vision a slant gives to visors.

I also forgot to mention the smooth shifting and most assuredly, a proper operating clutch!!!!!!!!!

What were you possibly thinking going 85 mph in a Model A? That is unsafe in a modern day vehicle!

He should have disabled it after parking it in your garage....

Mitch, I wouldn't think of it.... He's welcome to enjoy it while I have Sarah at my place,.. waiting on engine completion and should probably have everything else done on my end by end of month. Hope to have back to him soon. He hasn't driven my Tudor which is much smoother and has a ryan overdrive.

Also.. I think he was stretching the miles per hour..... I think he was about two digits off the number key pad but that's alright! it sounded good.

Yeah, going UP a very steep hill does cause the car to struggle a bit . . . . BUT, going DOWN that very same steep hill . . . . fills one's veins with adrenaline !

Hey Larry, You know me quite well so you'd know I babied Bart just as I do Sarah, it was a very enjoyable drive and I'd have all the confidence to take a Model A like Bart across state and back and maybe even further.

If your Tudor is more smoother than Bart.............Sarah should ride like an angel when she returns.
