Default Hydralic conversion

Does anyone make a solid ring to adapt 39-48 backing plates to Model A spindles? The cast iron piston ring style has broken twice and I am concerned about further breakage and having small pieces end up damaging the drum and shoes.

You must be doing something wrong as those rings have been around for a loooong time.
Try googling "Cling's" , probably has good ones of what you need. JMO

Unfortunately they have been breaking for a long time. It pays to look for good ones. I second Cling's as a possible good source, ask them.

There was a guy on Facebook, banger hot rods, quite awhile ago advertising them, might be worth a try? https://www.facebook.com/chuck.hocke...location=group
