Default 55 ford sedan wiper question

On a 55 sedan with dual action fuel pump, does the wiper vac hose go into the port closer to the engine or to the outside port which is closer to the left fender ?

The top of the pump may or may not be labeled like this one.
When the engine is running you'll get vacuum on the 'wiper' fitting.
IIRC, if the hoses on the pump are backwards you may(?) get nothing. I haven't tried it yet. I live out west where it seldom rains and my '55 wipers aren't even hooked up.

The top of my fuel pump was not marked which port was for the wiper motor but The vacumn strength did tell me and it turned out to be the inner port closest to the engine.

Easiest way to remember is ...inside goes inside....inside on pump goes inside the cab.
