Default Coupe Door Windows

Does anyone have the exact dimensions of a 30 coupe door window glass?

To give you the "exact" measurements would be a BIG ordeal here.

There is a page in the Ford Service Bulletins that will tell you the "exact" measurements of all the glass for your car.

Maybe someone can scan the page for Mr. chkolar and post it here.

When someone needs demissions for window glass, the most common answer is look in the service bulletins. Yes there is a page in the bulletins that show glass, but it is for 1928 cars and it is very confusing for 30-31 car owners. I have never seen a list showing which glass is the same or different from 28-29 to 30-31.
Can anyone show such a list?

The door glass part number for the 1928-1929 Standard Coupe is A-45958.

The door glass part number for the 1930-1931 Standard Coupe is A-45958-B.

Not sure of the difference.

To find out the true dimensions of A-45958-B, you must order the print from the Benson Ford Archives, as to my knowledge there is no other chart other then the one in the Service Bulletins.

However there is a list of about 15 different drawings over the Model A years.

The book "Model 'A' Miseries and Cures" by Mary Moline has a list of glass sizes. The size for a door window glass in a 1930 Coupe is shown to be 25-1/16" x 15-7/16".
A word of caution: The type of felt window channels you use may make a difference in how well your glass fits in the door.

Also, the glass available today is not to the same thickness standards as when the cars were built. Part of the issues Don posted above regarding glass run channels.
