Re: Best Sparkplug for T
Champion X plugs can be taken apart to clean them when the foul, but they cost $35 each. The Champion plug that doesn't come apart are $15 each, but when they foul you either have to clean them with a plug cleaner or throw them away. Carburetor cleaner works too. The Motorcraft plug does not come apart but they only are $4.50 each. All three are good plugs. I use the Motorcraft, found them on Ebay for $2 each, when they foul, I throw them away.

Re: Best Sparkplug for T
Spark plug questions are like oil, everyone has their OP. I run old used Wards plugs, car runs great. Car ran fine on the replacement Motorcraft's also but it's a crap shoot if you can find a set that don't leak around the porcelain and body.
Most used Champions are just plain worn out. Plugs do wear out. You can take apart and clean but again a crap shoot to find new seals or have the old ones reseal. If you are running 14MM with adapters and coils/magneto, get plugs that do not have a resister in them, the resisters do not like the un equal voltage from the magneto.

Re: Best Sparkplug for T
In general the plugs made back in the days when T's were being used as daily drivers are the best. I collected enough on eBay to last a lifetime. My rule is to never pay more than $5 for a plug. I've bought 10 - 15 new old stock Model T plugs for as little as $1 a plug. No, I don't want to sell any.
Some good info is here: https://modeltfordfix.com/model-t-sp...he-enthusiast/

Re: Best Sparkplug for T
After mucking around with modern plugs for a couple of years, I've had the same set of Champion X's in my car since 2006. Initially, I used adapters to run a variety of modern plugs, because they had a much bigger heat range. I spent a whole lot of cash on various modern plugs and eventually found that with the original Champion X, the car started easier and idled smoother. Also, being a pull apart, and therefore serviceable, plug, you only pay the bigger price once.
