Default T5 update :

Got the F1 back from the Trans shop today. Last Sunday when shifting from 4th to 5th.. it stayed in 4th, but the shifter arm was moving around like a pretzel. Couldn't find any more gears after that.

So, the folks at the shop dropped the trans and found 4 screws had shredded off. They had too Heli-Coil 'em. Shifting really nice now.

Thanks to all who answered my SOS on this issue.

Were the four screws the ones that hold the shifter to the transmission?

yep. It's just a farmers truck & I don't bang gears, so being 30 plus years old maybe the screws gave up the ghost.
