Default Hollywood...1957

Crusin' Hollywood in 1957

For those of you who enjoy the good ole days, watch this video and see the many cars from the fifties.

This is cool - especially when you consider there were no video cams 55 yrs ago.

Yeah, T-bird doesn't yield and the camera car doesn't yield to the pedestrians. What year is that blue Caddy convertible and why do we see it again after it makes its first turn? Enquiring minds want to know.

You see the caddy because they followed it around the first corner and then it turned off.
It's the blue '47-'48 Buick conv. that you see a couple of times.
Once when they followed it for a distance and then when it pulled out from the right in front of them.
But it's possible that the film was put together out of sequence.

At 2:08, that's a 1955 or 1956 Lincoln crossing the road.

The title of the thread is "1957", I saw a '39 Plymouth, 3 '57 Chevy's and a '57 Mercury and the Bronze '51 Ford was in front in the beginning and at another corner it came out in front again. Very good!

O.K. go to You Tube and in the search box type in "Hot Rod 1950" There's a 5 part series all done in the 50's with lots of old roadsters, etc. The story line is about a judge who has a son who loves hotrods. It's an original movie broken up into segments.

I noticed that too. Recently watched a film with many location shots of New York City in the mid 50s--same complete dearth of pre-war cars.
