Default Carpet Attachments ? ? ?

Can someone tell me if these attached pictures are carpet attach points.

First Picture - Is that hole to the right of the starter rod rivets where a male attach point goes.

Second Picture - Are those two male attach points also for the front carpet?

Last Picture - What is the screw beyond the mount bolt for? Does this also attach the carpet in some fashion?

The round projections in the second picture are floor mat locator points.

Original rubber floor mats had fabric reinforced holes to fit over the pegs.

The photos show how to install carpet snaps:
  • The piece with prongs goes on top of the carpet, and the ring with holes to receive the prongs goes on the bottom;
  • Cover the ring with the prongs using a piece of Masonite;
  • Clamp the assembly together. Use the clamp to squeeze the assembly until the maximum protrusion of the prongs into the bottom ring is achieved;
  • Squeeze the prongs over tightly with pliers.

31A - If you are talking about the silver material on the floor it came from Home Depot. I you are talking about the little door for the exhaust manifold heater I bought that from a local Model A parts dealer.
Tom F & Tom W - Thanks for your info that you sent
Bob - Thanks for the great explanation on how to install the snaps with pictures. Pictures are always good.
Don - Thanks for your info also although I thought that those pegs looked pretty original as that is the way it was when I bought the car and BOTH sides are the same. Looked at a couple of cars today at an event I went to at the Chatham Airport on Cape Cod but could not find any Townsedans with any pegs so now I'm really confused.

Don - Would you possibly have a picture of the way the pegs look?

Don, Do the snaps that Bob shows in post #5 fit the stock posts, if not do you know who carries the correct carpet snaps. Thanks

So -- that's what those's studs are for -- but what's your other floor cut-out for. That's about where I cut mine to gain access to transmission dip-stick assembly.
Thanks

I believe those 4 are used for a mat if you have one.

I was referring to the male carpet snaps that screw to the floorboards and female attach to the carpet.
