Default Voltage regulator conversion for generator cutout

Hello - I have an oval-style generator cutout that I had converted to a hidden voltage regulator. Unfortunately I fried it and can't find the name of the person who did the conversion for me. Do any of you have any recommendations? I'm trying to keep the car as original looking as possible, otherwise I'd buy one of the round repro cutouts with the hidden voltage regulator.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Digger. I'll keep that in mind if I can't find the cutout conversion.

Hi, Do you know why it cooked up ? Battery in the wrong way around ? The drawbacks with these electronics is they will not suffer incorrect polarity connections, including jump starting the car the wrong way around, or with a 12 volt battery if the car is 6 volts. Fun Projects may be able to fit one of their electronic regulators inside your case. Good company to deal with. Regards, Kevin.

Hey -- long story short, I let a live wire slip and short-circuited it. Immediately toasted! My fault.

Have 2 oval cutouts that have converted by Fun Projects. One just last year just to put on shelf for a backup. He knows his stuff. Larry
