Ford Service Bulletin, April 1922, says Champion Ford X plug set at about .030" or 1/32" of an inch.

With Ford magneto ignition, coils, and new reproduction Champion X spark plugs, the best results can be had by usually following the maker's setting of .025"

To throw a little gas on the fire, my 1925 Touring runs better at 1/32 of an inch. I've tried several sets of plugs including original X's, reproduction X's, Motorcraft replacement plugs and an original set of Ward's plugs and set them all at .025 and they run like crap.

I have an original set of X's in the car now set at .032 and they run great.

I run mine about .028 seems happy there. But a lot depends on YOUR car. Start at .025 and work your way up to where it seems to run best at different DRIVING speeds. (Running used Wards now)
