folding windshield
Hi guys I've seen some discussion on folding down the roadster windshields and I am confused. I would like to fold my 31 roadster's windshield down and check it out, but as I try folding it ,it wants to open , so how does it not make contact with the gas cap?? I under stand the stanchions have stops built in to only allow the frame to go so far but what keeps the glass within the frame. there has to be so kind of answer , but what could it be?? thanks for the help THE HOOCH

It should rest in the middle on the piece that goes across the top of the cowl I think. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/6c4AA...Et/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/cycAA...A8/s-l1600.jpg The pivot line should be above the top of the curve on the bottom of the frame (?). The problem is these frames rust out and may have been repaired/restored from bits at some stage. |
