O.K. , I give up. I have an un-restored Model A on which I cannot seem to get enough space to remove a Door Handle Pin. If I don't watch out I will damage the Escutcheon.
Is there an accepted easy way to do this ?

Atlasboy - I had to make a jig out of a 1 x 4 where the opening was wide enough to go over the door handle but still touch the Escutcheon. It had to be deep enough to be able to push the Escutcheon down but not bottom out on the door handle. I am at work now but when I get home this evening, I can measure the cut out in the jig.

160B sent me this link to a thread on FB back in 2017 concerning this same issue I had on my S/W. In the link he has pictures and deminsions.

Push like hell on the escutcheon as you use a stiff wire to push the pin out.

Repro springs are often too stiff or long and make the job worse.
The same goes for a door panel made too thick.
