Default 1932 Ford V8 original Radio

I have been advertising in different locations for a 1932 Early 1933 Grigsby & Grunow steering column mounted Control Head (refer to photo) for a long time, and as I have had no replies, it looks like the only way I can have one is I might have to make it, as I have been making other parts for this set.
Has anyone know of anyone that has made up a Control Head for these radio sets .

I may have an extra one, didn't realize they were that hard to find... I'll try to remember to look for it next week.

do they all have the green dial? Seeming to think one of mine is white?

I've had two and one was whitish/yellow and the other was green.

These Model 111-40 - Grigsby & Grunow 1932 Radios were only made from August 1932 to March 1933 and parts are hard to find. I would be very pleased and appreciate it if you can find one please let me know it would save me from trying to make one. I did not know they had different color dials.

All the ones that I have had and seen have been green. I suspect that Tim's exception is the result of sun exposure bleaching out the color.

I may still have pictures, but I don’t think so since the frequency numbers were still perfect and the “band” was all the same color. Is it possible it was an early aftermarket replacement? In the meantime, I’ll look for the pictures.

In the radio box with the valves there is a small screw on the outside of it, would anybody know what is connected to this screw I know there is an aerial connection somewhere. Refer to photo

That's the connection for the antenna lead. You could benefit from the original illustrations in the eight pages of Appendix 19 in the V8 Club's "1932 Ford Book, ....." devoted to the radio.

Would there have been an early after market replacement of these headers.
It would be interesting to see the pictures.
