Default Nyack New York

I was reading the story of your trip to Vermont when you discovered an oil leak from the head gasket while on the Thruway.
My computer lost service and now I can't find the thread.
I got to the point where your in Al's garage, the head is removed and then.........
Please forward to me or tell me where the thread is or list the link onto this thread
I need to hear what was the problem,/ fix

Hi Tom, An update is past due. The car is almost ready for me to pull the engine. Since my last blog entry I purchased shelves to hold parts and a harbor freight 1 ton engine hoist. I have almost everything I wanted to have lined up before engine removal. This week I'll have the wood engine holder complete and then it is just the matter of removing the last few bolts and hoisting away..... Then figuring out transport. Thanks for reaching out.

Kieth, If you remove the transmission, bell housing, pressure plate & flywheel, manifolds and the head, you and one other person should be able to lift the block into a pick-up truck or a car with a large trunk. Or use your HF engine lift. Go Devil Garage is less than two hours away.....as you know.
