Default Door question

Can one of you experts out there tell me if the bottom half of the doors on a 4 door 1929 sedan are the same width as the roadster doors ? Thanks Tom

I am sure the 28-29 roadster doors transfer over to the front of a matching year standard 4-door phaeton.
Sedan doors...no they would be to wide.
Good Day!

I'm not at all sure that all 1929 fordoor sedans have the same width.

I don't have either in hand but from memory,
The roadster is a lot more narrow in width

If you have either car in your club, measure the doors to see if there is any difference.

I believe that the short answer is probably "no". As indicated above, if you are referencing 1929 "open car" doors (roadster, phaeton, roadster pickup), then the front doors are all interchangeable. However, closed car doors are another matter altogether. Murray and Briggs fordor bodies have different width doors, and regardless, I believe would each be wider than open car doors. Similarly, I also believe that coupe and tudor model closed car doors would be somewhat wider as well. Hope this may help.

21" for the phaeton 27" for a Briggs fordor.

Per "Ford Model A Restoration Manual"; 22" for '29 Roadster and 27¾" for '29 Fordor Sedan (does not specify Briggs or Murrey).
