Default Engine rebuild list

Do any of the major engine rebuilders keep a listing of the engines they rebuild? I have a mid 30 engine that looks like the babbits are not that old, would like to know what else they did to it.

It might depend on who did the rebuild. Did you contact the shop that did your work? I once had a Model T engine that I took to a shop and had them tear it down enough for them to mike and measure for my info. Then had them tighten the clearances and re-gasket it for sale in a speedster I put together. It was worth it to give the new buyer a full good shop report.

I write what I did, when, and the weather that day in the pan of engines and transmission when I rebuild them--- repairs with partial diss assembly usually no markings--- with electric pencil on soft metal and arc pencil for hardened metal
