Default Ford frames

My question, what year frames will work with a 36 cab. What year frames are compatable? Will 40-47 frames work?

generally, 35 to 40 car, and 41 1/2 ton, will work. there are some different cross members, and bolt holes, but generally interchangeable. 40 47 would take some imagination / fabrication to work

The rails are all similar from 1935 thru 1940 but there are a lot of subtle differences in bolt holes, fittings, & radiator mountings over the span depending on applications & body styles as well. The frame number is always a give away as to what the frame came from. Registration can be trying if the frame doesn't match the title. The 1941 Commercial model had a similar frame till mid year when the 6-cylinder was introduced.
