Steering box/shaft removal procedure.
I would like to know the detailed step-by-step 'how to' procedure for removing the steering box and shaft out of the column housing 'down' out of the car with the motor/ pedals still in place, please.
I want to remove the original '32 box and shaft, and slide up in a new Hudson unit. Frame mounting bolts and the pitman arm I already have removed. It's the headlight switch on the box end itself, the brass rod, wireing harness, steering wheel, the horn button and the thumb switch there that turns on the lights. All that I don't know how, or in what order to remove. Thanks. |
