Need Help
City:
Corning
State:
Ohio
I need a bearing retainer rear mount for a open driveshaft truck transmission that has a 10 inch distance center to center between the 2 mounting bolt holes. The one i have now is only 8 inches. I am changing my original 39 Ford car transmission and rearend to an open driveshaft. The transmission mounts are 10 inches apart on the car. Can anyone help me on this. marv

Re: Need Help
There probably is no such part. The parts are cast steel and can easily be welded. I have welded the closed drive ones when ears are damaged. I would have some ears welded on the part you have.

Re: Need Help
Andy:
I have a rear bearing retainer with 10" measurement between the frame to transmission mounting bolt holes. Price will be $25.00 plus shipping. If possible I can put it in a flat rate box from the post office for a little less than $10 I think. Please let me know if you want it. You may contact me at: [email protected] or phone me at home phone 541-367-5024 or cell 541-990-7377. Respectfully, Paul Ingram |
