Anyone still doing parts hauling?
I'm looking for have a small lot (about 1/2 to 3/4 of a pick up bed) picked up and delivered near Grand Rapids, MI to Essex Co. NJ. Does anyone know if anyone is still doing these types of runs/services?
Thanks, Tim |

Re: Anyone still doing parts hauling?
A while ago I sold a couple of '32 frames to a guy in the midwest. He contracted with Ben D who is on the HAMB to pick up the frames and deliver them. With these haulers (there are several other reputable ones on the HAMB as well) a lot depends on timing and where the pick up and drop off points are. If they are along a main interstate route that the shipper travels and they can add the parts to a less than full load already going that way you should be able to have them shipped without much of a problem as long as you're not in a super hurry. More remote pick up/drop of points and/or timing issues create more problems and higher costs.
