1937 Cam Regrinding
Can the stock 37 ford cam be reground close to an isky max1 3/4 cam ? Or what is a good sounding cam for a 21stud motor that will have sharp heads on it. Thanks all.

Re: 1937 Cam Regrinding
I don’t see why not. I have re-ground several of those early cams to my KiWi-L100 specs.

Re: 1937 Cam Regrinding
just curious, Does the cam you have ,has apressed on timing gear.????? Most any cam Grind can be put on a stock cam. Which brings up the application and cost. When re grinding a stock cam, you will have to use adjustable lifters, or longer valves. Also in a stock engine, longer duration reduces low end torque The 77B is very much like a stock grind$$$$$ for changing the cam you must have a good reason.

Re: 1937 Cam Regrinding
Ron I’m going with the 1007B cam. The cam I believe is the press on timing gear. With that cam it will have Sharp heads and dual carb intake. Im on the fence on the adjustable lifters, if i run them I will have to make jam nuts for them or just get longer valves and cut them to what I will need.

Re: 1937 Cam Regrinding
The 1007B is a really good cam - you'll like it in that engine! I tend to run Chevy valves - as I like the longer length. I then make custom spacers for the guides (depending on the cam, springs and how much spring pressure I want on the seat).

Kiwi. Repop from h&h. I believe they are about 8:1 compression ratio.

Re: 1937 Cam Regrinding
Well if I come across someone wanting to give up Evans or cyclone 21 stud heads instead of letting them sit on their shelf I’ll take those too. Hahah.
