Both the 39 standard and 39 Deluxe have much cleaner and pleasing lines than the 40 deluxe - IMHO. 40 standards are OK.

Beautiful "stinkin heifer" Ken...stunning. 39 Super Deluxe coupe is "perfect" to my eye when it comes to the pre shoebox v8s'. We didn't get 40s in NZ but i like the 39 cpe better, just love the curves , the way the head lights follow the curve of the fenders and the way the front of the hood falls away and the body is raked to give that "forward motion look" even when they are standing still.

My friend CHRISNZ from New Zealand asked me to post these photos of one of his '39s.
I am super proud of the work he does with his collection.

Yes, the 39 is 80 years old. I really should do something special like maybe buy that new (rebuilt) coil from Skip so I can actually drive it again. Been in the family since 1950.

Here is my 39, picture taken last year on the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Just before I put her away for winter. I have had it out twice this spring.

Not nearly as nice as what's been posted but with a rebuilt 8ba with EAB heads, Skip's pumps, a Bubba distributor, and a 94 redone by Charlie NY it gets me to coffee each morning and elsewhere unless its raining. Other than that it's stock except for the Studebaker bed that some farmer added back in the day. Looks like it belongs.
