Re: 34 columbia question
Have you checked with John Connelly at Columbia Two Speed Parts? http://www.columbiatwospeedparts.com/

Re: 34 columbia question
As above John re-manufactures the valve in question along with the linkage to the clutch pedal. He also has all the other 34 controls. Not a good idea to go without the clutch control since the Columbia will then be able shift under load (NO NO). If you have an original 34 Columbia the internal parts are not available as replacement.

Re: 34 columbia question
You can use a electric 12 volt valve to shift
the Columbia. It will shift with 6 volts. Look in past posts for details. G.M.

Re: 34 columbia question
Your Columbia will work without the clutch valve . Just never forget to have the clutch petal pushed to the floor and your foot off the gas petal before you turn the handle on the dash to change the vacuum shifting up or down .

With just a solenoid, it would only take one time of forgetting to depress the clutch to potentially ruining the Columbia. Glenn PS I have a '32 with '40 Columbia with hydraulic unit in my roadster. |
