Where can I puchase a head bolt that goes on the power steering bracket ? Its a little longer than the others. Don't know exact length, bolt missing. TU

Re: 53 Merc head bolt
If you don't find one around there, I got a used one you can have- pretty good condition off a 53 Merc engine.

Re: 53 Merc head bolt
Seeing as you only have one missing the other one is the same length.
Anyway the parts call out is for (2) 7/16"-14 x 3 5/32" long. plus flat washers. It may be possible to shorten a 3 1/2" long grade 8 bolt that can be obtained from most hardware stores as well as Home depot.
